Hey y'all,

Wanted to share my new website - can't quite figure out how to re-direct yet. But since I am still getting some hits here - thought I'd share and would love for you to visit me over there.

And maybe someday, I'll figure the interwebs out and will re-direct.

In the meantime, hope to see you on my new site!

Pssst....hi!

Hey, guess what? I'm back. Lots and lotsa changes that have contributed to my Houdini act but, I'm back, better than ever and FINALLY got my very own motorcycle license. No more back seat for  me!  Well unless he's tall, dark and covered in tattoos. In that case, call me.  ;)

I have some good stories and great pics to share with you , and look forward to getting back in touch. I've missed you!

For anyone in Massachusetts area looking to take a course, I highly recommend Streetwise Cycle School. They have locations in Foxboro and Boston and offer Experienced Rider courses as well.

Where the hell ya been??

Okay, okay...I know you've been here. I've been among the missing. Been putting off the first post of the New Year because I was looking for the proper way to nicely say F*ck Off 2012 and Welcome 2013, but words have escaped me, for once in my life, and I can't come up with much else. So, there it is..F*ck off 2012. And away we go...

Happy New Year, my friends! Hope 2012 was better for you than it was for me. If not, or even if it was, join me in making 2013 our bitch. I say bring it on!

So what's new? What are you looking forward to this year? I am really looking forward to going back to Harley Rendevous in June.

Last year was my first time, I had a blast. First timers at the Vous are labeled Vous'gins. I had to wear penises on my head for a while, but this is only part of the secret ritual performed upon newbies that I can mention. I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Went with a great group of people, including these knuckleheads on the left. Mr. Green may have been using a prosthetic on this day. I don't know, just sayin...

This year is the 'Vous 35th Anniversary. It begins on June 21st and runs through the 23rd.  Best tip I can give is to rent your own porta potty. No idea how to do it or what's involved but I know the fellas I went with handled things nicely and I only had to pay three bucks for a Women's Only clean johhny. I'da gladly paid more, but shhhhhh..don't tell em.  Another thing I wish I had brought were some walkie-talkies. Cell reception stinks. The place is huge and after a few cocktails, wandering off alone some people may just find themselves in a huge field alone at midnight, walking in circles through campsites of horny men.

Small museum onsite at the 'Vous

The same month and only two weeks before, Laconia Bike Week will be celebrating its 90th Anniversary. Two big anniversaries in one month...going to put an order in for an extra liver right now.

More than anything I am looking forward to this..

You know what that is? Besides a bad picture? That's my Motorcycle Permit that I just received on my birthday. Passed on first try, guy next to me flunked...neener neener. Anyway, I plan on taking the course and getting my license this summer..also have lots of events that I plan to attend. I will be sure to keep you in the loop...I promise!

Well, Hello There!

So I've been MIA...crazy few months, but I am back! Have lots to tell you about and am working on a few new posts. Here's a lil taste of what I've been up to...

Ended the spring tagging along on a couple of bike blessings. Would love to tell you more about this one but can't remember the name of the church or very many details. I do recall it being on Cinco de Mayo which may account for the missing details. Will have to get back to you on that..

At one of the blessings I attended, some bikes tipped in a domino-type effect, directly after being blessed. I'm thinking that might not be a good sign...

Have been on a few runs...but I clearly need to take notes...this was a ride out of Framingham, ending at O'Connell's Pub on Route 9...but I forget the charity. Damn. Recreation Department, maybe? Idk but it was fun...good band.

Okay, this one I remember...went to the HD Boston open house to help a friend pick out a new bike.

Soon after,  road tripped to meet some friends at Myrtle Beach bike week. F.U.N.

Spent the first night of the trip..actually 2nd night...in Virginia Beach. Found a pretty awesome biker bar called Boneshakers and met a pretty awesomely scary drunk homeless man there. Also met some bikers from my area of Massachusetts...seem to be Massholes everywhere I go. I can say that cuz I am a proud Masshole. You can't.

Made it to Myrtle Beach in a record breaking three days...long story, but somehow a 16 hour ride turned into a 3 day tour. Best part of MB is the name of the bars. Beaver Bar.

Suck, Bang, Blow and even a Captain Poos. The bike rally was a blast; have some good info and pics to share with ya.

Didn't see the sun once while I was in South Carolina...rain seemed to follow..didn't let it put a damper on the trip.

Right after Myrtle Beach Rally, was Laconia Bike Week. Made it up there for both weekends.

Went to my first Harley Rendezvous with a great group of people. I am no longer a Vous-gin. Surprisingly, I don't have a lot of bike pics to share from that weekend...I do have a lot of boob and penis pics though..perhaps I will share? Eh, might keep them for myself.

My new friends at the Rendezvous. Cah-razy, fun people.

A beautiful weekend in July was spent celebrating the marriage of two of my biker friends.

Every other Thursday over the summer, Patriot Place in Foxboro. Mass. has a car show sponsored by Mass Auto Cruisers. Been a few times so far this year, lots of bikes show up...

Several country concerts this summer...brings out lotsa rednecks. I say that with love. I wanna be a redneck when I grow up.

Doing the usual rounds of biker dive bars... my fave thing

Recently spent a weekend up in Maine...friend's band played at Bentley's Saloon.

Another weekend in Portsmouth, NH seeking out the local dives...

On the way home, stopped in Salisbury Beach...red-headed step child to Hampton Beach..I love it but perhaps because I am a middle child and we tend to settle.

First pre-season Patriots game...don't ask me who they played...I go for the tailgating and beer drinking.

Just back from a night up in NH...visited a few faves...Broken Spoke, Boot Hill and Looney Bin.

Same night at Meadowbrook in Laconia..VIP at an Eric Church show. What?? Yes. One of the best nights I've had in years. Again, a concert and not exactly relevant but shows ya the ramped up social life I've been having and thus, the reason why I haven't been on computer. And...I like bikes and country boys and after all this IS my blog. I think I'm going to change the name to Let's Ride Country Boys.

LOTS more to follow...stay tuned, bitches.

Cruising Around Rhode Island

Well, if you've learned anything about me reading this blog, it is probably that I like dive bars. The scarier the better...cheap drinks, fun people and a certain ambiance that I find exciting. Livin' on the edge. It's how I roll. Sorta.

Anyway, out for a Sunday ride and we found ourselves in Rhode Island...Woonsocket area to be exact. As we're winding down some of the roads, I'm thinking...eek, I may have finally met my match...a bar I am afraid of.

Pulled up to Charley's Place, on 1st Ave,  and saw children playing across the street on swingsets and mom's pushing strollers...how bad can it be?

And look, they have ice cold beer...the sign says so. What the hell...let's do it.

It's very small inside and filled with regulars.  All heads turned to see the strangers walking in...not a warm welcome...at all. Bit awkward actually. But when they figured out we were not undercover agents, and actually kinda/sorta fun...everyone relaxed, including me.

Drinks are cheap...and strong. Bacardi and diet was served with a splash of diet. Wowzers. Bartender made some popcorn for us. Food is pretty limited, I think. Looked like microwave stuff but the bartender mentioned they have free crockpot food on Sundays...I think. Had a couple drinks, shot some pool, and met some nice people.

If you're on the run or in the dog house, no one will tell...

Charley's Place in Woonsocket, though not for everyone, is a fun dive bar. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the next weekend.

Less then about a mile away from Charley's Place is Luc's Bar and Grill. Used to be JJ's. The property has been completely renovated and is very nice inside. They have on-street parking and a lot across the street. Only stopped for a quick one so don't have many pics, but we will definitely be going back and will have more to share.

Luc's is open at 7am daily, noon on Sunday. I think they serve breakfast and lunch.  We arrived when a breakfast was finishing up, but the kind bartender said she will continue to serve food until everyone is stuffed and happy. You should definitely check them out.

On the same street is a bar called 'Our Pad' which we were advised not to go to. Sounds to me like a challenge. Going to add it as a stop the next time around. But instead of heading there, we went over to Walker's in Blackstone, which is only a few miles away on Lloyd Street.

Walker's is right off 126, behind a Post Office. Free pool, cheap drinks, large paved parking lot, and some fun regulars.  Some jerks too who like to brag about how 'rich' they are...get over yourself, douche. Not impressed. But I digress...

This is a nice area to ride in..the Blackstone River flows throughout and there are some nice scenic places to stop and several biker-friendly watering holes.

Iron Horse Saloon...THE Place to Be During Daytona Bike Week!

If you've been to Daytona, you have been to the Iron Horse Saloon, right? Located on Route 1 in Ormond with all the other temporary bars, it's where all the action is.

So much to see and do. We saw Bad Company and also David Allan Coe, who I thought was great.  We talked to many people who said 'he sucks, he's an ass'.  The first person who said it, I thought...wow, relax dude, he's just a singer...but when more than a handful of people (bartenders and locals) say he blows, chances are he does.  Something about cancelling all the time, scared of rain...I don't know...but his music was good and he was there when he was supposed to be the night we were there. So....

They also have celebrity appearances...this year was Opie from Sons of Anarchy who I SO wanted to go see but my friends who waited four hours for me to see Tigs and Bobby in Boston said 'No way.'  Buncha bitches. lol

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of places to eat inside...well I'm really not, but there must be.  We were there to get our drink on and there was plenty of that. Lots of souvenirs though and if you buy their mug you get an hour of free beer everyday from 4pm - 5pm.

They do wheely-spinny thingies in here...a/k/a the 'burn-out' pit. Didn't get to see one. Sad face.

I should probably know why the seat is on the tank, and why there are springs sticking out...but I don't. Looks painful. I don't get it.

Here you could throw an axe and imagine a special someone's face on the board. Healing.

When I went to Spring Break in Daytona...many moons ago...the sponsor was Bud Light and Trojans. Now it's aspirins and antacids. My, how times have changed.

Packed lot

Night time was even more fun...cah-razy people here

View from balcony is a fave...get to watch the bikes comin' and goin'

Two of the beautiful patrons ;)

Wall of death...

Rest of the evening was a bit of a blur so no pics but it sure was a good ole time. In fact, so much fun, we were almost kicked out of our relatives house for mis-behaving. Now that's a good night...
